  • Plain flourTheShop.mu
    300 g
  • Cold butter, cubedTheShop.mu
    200 g
  • Icing sugarTheShop.mu
    100 g
  • Egg yolk
    1
  • Strawberry or apricot jamTheShop.mu
    200 g
  • Pink food colouring
    few drops
  • Lemon juice
    1 tsp

👨‍🍳How to cook

    Rub butter into flour, add icing sugar and yolk. Bring together — don't overwork. Chill 30 minutes.

    Roll to 5 mm thick, cut into 5 cm rounds (need pairs).

    Bake at 160 °C for 12–14 minutes until pale. Cool completely.

    Sandwich pairs with jam.

  5. 5

    Make icing: 200 g icing sugar + lemon juice + drops of pink colouring + a little water. Spread on top.

  6. 6

    Let icing set before serving.
